If you require childcare outside of these hours please feel free to contact me with your requests, I will always try and accommodate you and your child.
I provide a warm, friendly, safe, home environment with a family atmosphere in which I will include involvement in activities such as cooking, shopping, gardening, family mealtimes and where your child can play, learn and develop.
Children will receive consistent one-to-one attention whilst enjoying interaction with others.
I appreciate you as the parents are the most important people in your child’s life and therefore will consult with you on all aspects of your child’s care.
Thank you for visiting Little Squiggles. I am Esme a fully insured Ofsted registered childminder based in Downham Market in Norfolk. I am married and have 2 daughters aged 8 and 2 and a very friendly Springador dog called Rory! My husband is a full time police officer and is also registered as my assistant. We both have an CRB check and are first aid trained.
I live in a 3 bedroom house with a good sized enclosed garden. We have a playroom with lots of toys, a child friendly kitchen, a lounge mainly used for quiet time and a downstairs toilet. Our home is safe, friendly and a strictly non-smoking environment. Our dog is well managed and although he is a very friendly family pet he is kept in a kennel outside and never comes into contact with the children unless parental permission is granted. We also have a cat called Molly.
I regularly attend local toddler groups, local parks and playgrounds, nature walks, trips to the library and days out at Church Farm, Sandringham, Brandon Country Park & High Lodge. Depending on the ages and stages of the children I will also take them to soft play centres such as Farmer Freds and Treetops.
We enjoy lots of activities which include cooking, growing, crafting, messy play, drawing, painting, reading stories, board games, puzzles, play doh, dressing up, music and dance etc. We also have lots of outdoor toys, ride on trikes and a trampoline which all the children seem to love!
I follow the EYFS framework and provide you with a daily diary of your childrens activity throughout the day along with a learning journal dedicated to your childs learning and development.
My aim is to ensure that all the children in my care have a safe, clean, happy and fun home from home environment so they can learn, grow and develop to the best of their ability.
I treat all children as individuals and encourage them to be confident and independent. I encourage them to try new things and I'm happy to supply materials if they suggest something new they would like to do.
Parents can feel assured that children left in my care will be stimulated, well cared for and happy. It is important to me that parents can leave their most treasured possessions knowing they are in safe hands and having a positive, enjoyable experience.
I am able to offer funded placements for 2,3 and 4 year olds -

I also offer before and after school care and am able to drop off and collect at Hillcrest Primary school.
